Only microsoft public windowsme general need to drop Nero 6.x just yet. Frustration aside, what do you think of it? It is an extremely large download, isn't it! Primarily because I find Vista offers me nothing I want other than a load of hassle, especially with networking. btw the Lanc went over again today!

Nero 6 works somewhat on my Windows Vista Ultimate. Exactly what are you saying "No" to? Try copying the CD to the hard drive and then install it from there.
